Features:
Can I use this with a water tank that is plastic?
Yes! These are safe to use with plastic and the fittings provided will suit plastic, metal, wood and fibreglass.
Can I install this myself?
Yes! You simply need to drill two holes in the side of the Hot tub using either a hole saw or a drill (to circle out a hole with a series of smaller holes) then you can connect the hoses to your Hot tub / pool.
Are these safe to use?
These units contain the fire itself, you have a water-source nearby (your filled Hot tub / pool) and there is a spark arrestor at the top of the flue to prevent embers from escaping. Provided you are tending to and checking on your fire and are operating it in the intended way, these are safe to use.
Can I over-heat my Hot tub?
Yes. This is a straight-up water heater and if you keep adding fuel to your fire, the water temperature will continue to increase. It is recommended that you do not heat the water above 41 degrees Celsius so you will need to check the water temperature before getting in and stop adding fuel to your fire when you’re nearing the desired safe temperature for you.
Can I remove / uninstall this when I’m away from my home?
Yes! By releasing the hose clips, you can remove the hoses and unit for safe storage or so that you can take it to the bach.
Do you ship these?
Yes! Within New Zealand these can be couriered in two packages directly from the factory to non-rural addresses from between $95(South Island) $135 (North Island)
For rural addresses and enquiries outside NZ, contact the factory to discuss options.
